We currently have an opening for a Front End Developer, available at the soonest possible starting date.

Front End Developers and Engineers at Darrel Technologies are at the fore front of creating and implementing a variety of websites and web based applications. They turn design concepts into workable, functional interfaces.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

• Programming of HTML and CSS based on designs and wire frames


• Providing front-end scripting and development for a variety of web-based software / applications


• Maintaining and updating client websites


• Assurance of site cross-browser compatibility


• ** Providing web consultancy services for clients at their place(s) of work **


• keep up with the rapid web development market and techniques.

Job Requirements, Skills and Abilities

• Excellent (X)HTML and CSS abilities is a prerequisite


• Working knowledge of JavaScript, JQuery and Flash


• Solid understanding of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Standards


• Experience in site management using web based publishing platforms and CMSes such as WordPress and Joomla


• Experience in Web design and usability questions


• Basic UNIX shell and software versioning experience would be advantageous


• Ability to work well in a team, particularly with developers and product managers


• Ability to communicate effectively in English


• Ability to work without supervision


• Good knowledge of at least one Server-Side language (most notably PHP) will be advantageous
